Reseting image KIT and FUSER of XEROX Phaser 6180 MFP

Phaser 6180 MFP is aproaching 100k and displays a message in the display asking for replace of IMAGE KIT and FUSER. Together, these parts costs more than the machine itself. So I intend to buy a phaser 6180 (no MFP) and use its parts in the MFP 6180. I'm antecipating that these parts can be not recognized as a NEW part due a lack of a chip or any "trap" like this. There's a reset for these itens or can anyone tell me if the machine, despite the messages in the display, will keep running or will stop for good until a new part be instaled ? THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Typically on the Xerox machines they give you lots of warning before the part expires. Like most around 15 to 20 percent life left. But once the life is out its out for good and the machine will stop functioning unless you replace. Most the fusers Ive seen they pretty much are shot at 100k. On that machine I wasnt to impressed with the image unit its not like the 6250 which was a solid piece of equipment but I know the image unit chip comes out easy and its right on top of the unit behind the black developer. Had to rebuild an imaging unit the other day becuase of a label jam. I guess it wouldnt hurt to try a third party chip to see what you can really get on these units before the developer or cleaning blades start to fail. You must understand parts of the image unit get lots of wear and it only holds so much developer so they have a limited life. Not to make you buy becuase they think your a sucker but to make the machine give you the print quality and reliablilty they advertise.
